WE ARE LGBTQ+ FRIENDLY

At The Baring Road Dental Practice we are committed to ensuring people feel confident to use our service, feel supported and listened to. We strive to provide a supportive and safe environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender individuals.

We believe in fairness, equality, and above all value diversity. While most health issues affecting LGBTQ+ individuals are similar to those of the general population, we know that LGBT+ people have unique health needs and experience disparities in care.

We would like to ask all our patients who identify as LGBT+ to let us know how we can continue to improve our service to you.

What we are doing:

  • We are reviewing our policies to be inclusive and support the LGBTQ+ community
  • All staff are undertaking training to be sensitive and supportive to the needs of the LGBTQ+ community
  • We are very proud to have a champion for the LGBTQ+ community withing our practice who will work closely with the patients to ensure high quality of service,
  • We have a social prescriber who will continue to offer support and signposting.

I visited the practice in September 2020.
They have strict procedures in place to keep people safe and Kerry promptly sent all of my documents to me via email. Excellent 5* experience
